Request for a Duplicate Blue Colored Application for Individual Dog Registration

Only the recorded Litter Owner to whom the original blue paper was issued may request a replacement. Requester must be Boykin Spaniel Society member in good standing (and therefore subject to the Society's Code of Ethics) prior to making their formal request.

1. Requests must be in writing and mailed to the The Boykin Spaniel Society, and must include:

  • a. the Litter Owner name and full mailing address, and telephone number
  • b. the Litter Number originally assigned to the litter which included the dog for which the replacement request is being made
  • c. the registration numbers of the litter dam and sire
  • d. the litter whelp date
  • e. whether the dog who needs the replacement is Male or Female, description of the pup and the number assigned to the pup (ex. M-2, F-4)
  • f. the name, address, and telephone number of the original buyer

2. The Litter Owner of Record shall sufficiently describe in writing the measures he/she will use to ensure that the person to whom the replacement paper is given is the same person to whom the original paper was given.

3. $35 fee for duplicating the paper

Request a Duplicate Certificate of Registration

Please mail a written request for a duplicate certificate of registration with the dog’s name, owner’s name, and mailing address and $20 fee to the BSS office:

Only the registered owner of the dog on record in the BSS Registry can request a duplicate certificate of registration.


Request A New Red Dog ID Tag For Your Dog

Please mail a written request for a new red dog ID tag with the dog’s name, owner’s name, and mailing address and $15 fee to the BSS office:

Only the registered dog owner on record in the Registry can request a new Red ID Tag for a dog.


Request for a LP Removal Application

The litter owner on record in the BSS Registry must contact the BSS office and request a LP removal application. The LP removal application is sent directly from the BSS office to the litter owner.

Process for lifting a LP:
In order to lift a LP designation on a dog the litter owner will need to complete the BSS LP removal application. The BSS office will also need the original certificate of registration for the dog with the LP and $35 processing fee. Once all of the required documents are received at the BSS office, the LP will be removed from the dog’s registration number and a new certificate of registration will be issued to the dog owner.
